I watched the Pole Position cartoon when I was a kid, haven't thought of it in years, but I found the intro on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGlklGtBNCE It was pretty cool, and IIRC was licensed by Namco, but really didn't have much in common with the game.
