I can see people trying to blame you for putting a cap in wrong spot. Letting them find it from the list may be safer and less work for you.

I came up with a good idea for kits going forward. That's a hot idea if you can make it work and get it printed somehow.

I can get labels printed easily, Cost is probably a few cents extra per kit. Packaging time is about the same interestingly enough. As for mistakes. You should ALWAYS verify the cap you are replacing even if you are picking it out of the bag, you should verify it with the cap you just removed. Instructions can always be wrong.

I'm about to slowly cap my Centipede K4600. Took it out and apart today, what a mess of a chassis compared to a GO7 or something.

Okay so here is the now that I got everything figured out. I provide full (or near full) cap kits, with the exception of the input filter cap which almost never needs to be replaced. The kits are $6/shipped if you PM me through john's forum here. Some kits contain a lot more cabs than others and will be $1 or $2 more, I'll start posting up prices in the main thread soon. I'll start putting up a for sale thread on klov and the price will be $1 more across the board, so contact me here. If you need any parts from digikey let me know, I am ordering almost weekly now.

Okay Ian looks like I found something else I could use... Can you build me a rebuild kit for my Stargate Power Supply? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/85675826/StargatePWRS.pdfThere's about 9 caps, 2 of which are kinda big so I understand they won't be cheap. I can order them through digikey but figured I'd try you first. Also there's a couple transistors that would be useful as well. I'm getting reboots from time to time and I've heard that rebuilding the PS may fix it. The caps look original anyway No biggie if it's not worth your time, not sure how popular the kit would be.

Lucky me I didn't complete that digikey order last night. I'll add these to the order and see what the cost comes out to be.

ian's cap kit is the best. i have gotten other cap kits and they give you all teh caps in a bag. i have spent more time putting caps in order that actually putting in the caps. with the label system it is quick and easy.

i was looking, I think i have all of those caps except for that massive 18,000uf axial. you most likely dont want to pay for one of those new, they are about $30+ and I doubt it is bad. Even if that went out of spec I dont think it would do much. As for the transistors I am currently looking for those.

I found a 18,000 snap in radial model for only $5 bucks. It looks like an axial on the drawing but I think it calls for a radial in the list. I'd like to change it, don't care if I need to run a wire around or solder or whatever since it's held down by a zap strap anyway. http://www.digikey.ca/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=150372923&uq=635362916457001835Don't make a special order for me though, I can get it whenever I order something next. It won't do you any good to have those on hand.

You're the electrical pro here my friend. If you think that the IC's or voltage regulators or whatever could benefit from a change I'm good with that. When it comes to a power supply I'd lean more towards the bullet proof side than not. But you gotta think about yourself here as well, I don't want you to buy a bunch of stuff that only I'm going to want, that would be wasteful for your wallet.
