FYI -- the Journey board had a unique Super CPU board in the stack. The model is 91475. If I can find this single board I should be home free.

you mentioned you knew some people with MCR board sets. Grab one or ebay it, they seem fairly cheap.
I should have a Tapper PCB soon. I thought I could convert it but I might be wrong. I cant' find any clear documentation on it and no one seems to agree. According to the MCR FAQ Tapper and Journey share the same board stack. HOWEVER, I am hearing that Journey has its own unique Super CPU board. When I get the Tapper I'm gonna try to get it working first then swap ROMs and see what happens. If I can't get the Tapper PCB working I have a back up plan that involves the Tapper PCB. http://www.gamefaqs.com/arcade/916363-arcade-games/faqs/9464Also, for the casette interface amp board... I have learned of a way to recreate the casette player with an Arduino and an MP3 Shield. I will most likely go this route. this site has the tape sample http://samples.mameworld.info/ on wav

Yeah it's something different, but for me I guess I'm trying to persuade you down the tape route - it's a cool original feature of this machine.
I can make the tape for you too !

Believe me, I want the cassette player. But, I think it will be very interesting to find an easy modern replacement that works.

If I get you one will you pay $500 for it? For the super cpu board alone? No. I already can buy a working PCB for tall money. I need one for a
