I'm on the hunt for parts to do a Journey restore. I need pretty much everything.
Harness, artwork, control panel, PCB, power supply, cassette player, etc. etc. etc.
If you have any MCR stuff please let me know. I should be able to convert a Tapper PCB to Journey. So, I would love to get any MCR harness I can. I will buy junk games too to get these parts.

If you look above you'll see we were already talking about the art. Rich is holding a set for me. I'm all set on the art. The #1 thing right now is the PCB. I have most of everything else. I do have a Tron harness on the way but would take an original harness instead. |

you mentioned you knew some people with MCR board sets. Grab one or ebay it, they seem fairly cheap.

I should have a Tapper PCB soon. I thought I could convert it but I might be wrong. I cant' find any clear documentation on it and no one seems to agree. According to the MCR FAQ Tapper and Journey share the same board stack. HOWEVER, I am hearing that Journey has its own unique Super CPU board. When I get the Tapper I'm gonna try to get it working first then swap ROMs and see what happens. If I can't get the Tapper PCB working I have a back up plan that involves the Tapper PCB. http://www.gamefaqs.com/arcade/916363-arcade-games/faqs/9464Also, for the casette interface amp board... I have learned of a way to recreate the casette player with an Arduino and an MP3 Shield. I will most likely go this route. |

you should check out the sparkfun MP3 trigger. no arduino required, just trigger one of the input switches to play mp3 N. etc. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11029 |

Can you test the theory by using the tapper you already have?
Was playing journey on my 438 in 1 yesterday, never played it on original so can't really compare, but if you want to know anything special about it let me know.
