Just got given a free new harness. All elastic banded up, but I noticed one thing odd, the -5V pins have nothing wired to them.

I'll probably just solder the wires in anyway, that's not an issue, but was just wondering why it would come like this.  People not using the -5v or something?

Got it from arcadeworld in the UK, I bought a Jamma PSU, and the harness was just in there with complements.

On the last project I bought over £100 worth of gear, , PSU sticks, buttons, 60 in 1 PCB, harness, carriage bolts, daisy chain , guess I'm a good customer now.

Some boards don't use the -5v. I know there are a bunch of China ones on ebay that have the -5 missing. I bought an extension cable that had it missing. I guess they are thinking that modern PCBs only need +5v.

This is defo cheap china territory.  I'll wire it in anyway. Was just curious how a standard suddenly changes.  Thanks
