Hi everybody,
I decided to join the forums now that I am a new first time owner this week. I picked up a neo geo 4 slot this week for an okay price but I am excited none the less. Thanks to John for his awesome videos I finally feel like it isn't as scary of a hobby as I once thought. I'm an electrical engineer and always knew I could fix those parts but I was always worried about the cabinets. After watching his restore videos I feel like I know enough now to dive in.

EDIT: Figured I would say where i'm from! Enjoying your awesome videos from Centre PA.

That's great!! Got any photos?

The NEO GEO four slot is a GREAT first cabinet. Very versatile! Gonna get a multi-cart?

ill have photos this week once i get it into my house and cleaned up. It came with 4 pretty bad games so I am planning on getting the multicart while i collect the games i want. I was doing some research into doing some type of jamma switcher mode and putting my mame PC in there.

im going to fix it up and leave it as original as possible. I am considering putting a jamma switcher in it until i can move out of my small apartment and pick up more cabs. I really love this machine and I have some projects cooking up in my mind for things to upgrade on it. Those damn EL panels are all shot and $20 a panel right now is a bit much after buying the unit this month. Might be able to do a nice replacement PCB for the lights to use LED's instead.

My friend Evil Emu of Doom is doing an LED replacement for the EL panels.
