I found an arcade machine for sale locally and the lady knows nothing about it. She wants $150 for a Space Encounters Upright Cabinet. I was going to see if I could low ball her. What would this be worth if fully restored? Is $150 too much?

Well it all depends on the condition, but $150 is a pretty good price for about any game.

Picked up the cabinet. It is missing the power pcb. I think I found a replacement for it. A Midway 8080 power supply kit.

Cool cabinet.  The great thing about the game is the strobing flash.  Apparently if its broken you can easily find a replacement in an old kodak camera with a built-in flash.

Never heard of it before. Just looked it up on Youtube. It look like a really cool game. I wonder if a modern switching power supply might work too?

That isn't a bad machine for 150 by the looks of the cab. Congrats on the find.

True restoration is an art form. Like any good artist you have to know what your doing. Painting a single line on a canvas and calling it a masterpiece does not fly in restoring a arcade machine. Do it right
