After watching John's videos and this forum for nearly a year, I had the itch to get into the hobby.  I had the opportunity to grab a  Super Pac Man for $50 but The AC cord was cut so I am not sure yet if it is working.

The flat yellow ground wires that come from the power chassis and ran to the coin door and control panel have been cut.  Do I need to use this same type of wire again or will any 18 gauge wire work for this?

Thanks

That flat yellow is a ground that is only needed for the noise filter. Most people throw away the noise filter because it causes more trouble then it's worth.

Thanks.  It looks like the rfi filter has already been removed.  Can I just remove the yellow wires and use that screw as my earth ground for the coin door and control panel?

Coin door and control panel should have their own ground wires. I don't thing you need anything else. Just leave the flat yellow wire sitting there unless it really bugs you.

The flat yellow line is attached to the coin door and the control panel, although it has been cut in the middle of each one.  My plan was to remove the yellow line now that I don't need it and run ground to the screw that attached to the power chassis where this line was attached. That would work to ground those, right?

You can add the grounds back with any basic wire. Not critical. But, my Baby Pac would shock me because those were missing.
