I just caped my k7000 and replaced the flyback.  The colors are still real washed out and dark.  If I turn up the brightness the blacks are grey and colors are still dull.  Also sometimes greys and whites jump around and are askew.  See videos below.  What do I do next?

Make sure your deguass coil is plugged it. Check your B+ voltage. Wipe your color pots. Move your cabinet around to see if it changes color quality. check out Johns Gyruss restore video about deguass and rejuve.

PS Is this the same monitor that had broken pin on neck?

Yes this is the same monitor.  The broken pin in question is the focus.  I reattached it with silver epoxy.

Problem solved.  I didn't look at the plugs close enough when I got the cab.  The three hole plug that has the ground and composite sync was shifted over by one.  So the ground was not connected and the sync was hooked up to the ground.
