Looking for a vender that carries a 924J/400V capacitor, it is c423 on the service manual. I ordered  a cap kit and flyback but couldn't find this part and it's the on that is burned on the board. Any ideas what could have cause for it burn up?

any vendor is going to have it. mouser/digikey

just look for a polypropylene .92uF 400 or 630V cap

This is all they have, both companies. Can I use this??       CAP FILM 0.91UF 3% 400VDC RADIA 0.91µF   ±3%   400V   Polypropylene (PP), Metallized

am I  looking for the wrong cap?? This is the description on the manual item#89 part no. 2329454  description capacitor  924J/400v  location c423

That sounds okay to me. just make sure you get long lead, and not cut lead. If you accidentally buy cut lead you will have a hard time soldering it in.

Replaced the burned cap and added a cap kit with a new flyback but still getting a ticking sound coming from the monitor board. No glow just dead monitor ticking. Any ideas what could be wrong?

did you ever check the HOT. it sounds like you still have a shorted HOT.

No, do you have any? HOT PH-L9804 and cap .056uf 250v  I been reading alot about 2702 and it looks like I got the wrong cap for location c423.  I was going by the manual and thought 2701 and 2702 were the same but I guess not.  I read a post on the 2702 and they had a cap of .056uf @250 v at c423 while the manual with 2701 has the .92uf @ 400v.  This is for road burners game.  I was given about 25 games and trying to read everything avalible to get this games working.

Replaced the hot still ticking  any other ideas what could be causing the ticking

other shorts will cause ticking. Sometimes the poly caps fail, pretty much go around the board with your multimeter looking for shorts.
