Anyone have experience  repairing  Konami pcb? On boot up  I get a bad ram c14 error hence game won't boot up. If this is the only  thing would replacing his chip fix my problem? Not sure how reliable these self tests are.  By the way where can I find this chip? It's for a The Main Event pcb. Thanks guys.

I haven't fixed a main event one but what  I would do if i didn't already have a known good ram chip to test with I would pull another ram chip out of theboard and swap it with the one it says is bad. if the error follows the ram then you know its bad.

Wow, I should have thought of that.  Will do asap and let you know the outcome.  By the way Ian,  buying chips for these old guys seems like a needle in a haystack proposition.  Any advice on a good place to start looking? Thanks in advance,  Matt
