Ok I have a monitor issue. Some how the  neck on the tube has gotten broke. I have read a bunch about tube swapping and I am still not to clear.

So this is was I have.

LG Philips display

Type No: A48QAD220Y 44
Ser No: L4100467 M

Chassis
WEI-YA
Model: 2620HR (20H)
Frequency: 15.75 KHZ
20" Chassis
Ser No. M4120201

What is going to be the best and easiest tube to get.

I have 2 19 inch RCA TVS at home and 3 or 4 thrift shops to hunt around in. Any suggestions on TVS to buy or what to look for when buying a doner tv would be much appreciated

Check this site here:

http://www.junknet.net/donor-tvs

Basically, you need to measure the resistance of the yoke to make sure it's a good fit. Or, swap the yoke from the old monitor to the new TV tube. Basically, you need to find a tube with the same neck socket and the same geometry in the back so the yoke can fit.

Wold a tv repair shop be able to fix a broken neck on a tube? If yes how much would one think they should pay for that service?

I have been looking at all the local thrift shops. While finding lots O 19 inch tv none seem to be on the junk tv list. I don't want to buy a bunch of TVS and none of them be the one I need. I know $6 to $10 buck isn't much but a pile of TVS in my basement will start to make the wife a little upset. Are there other lists or is the the best of all the list?

There really isn't a lot of info for swapping tubes outside of that website

The things you need for a successful swap are,
The right neck pinout, the right neck connector
compatible yoke coils. and in some cases a compatible HV and geometry of the tube.

It takes someone with knowledge to reverse engineer the tube to know if its going to work with any specific monitor. The monitors on that list are ones that someone figured out but other than that no one has published anything to my knowledge.
