I'm thinking about buying my first machine, it is a classic Millipede and the asking price is $750. The screen is slightly blurry, the seller told me it happened after the cabinet got 'bumped' during a move. Is this price ok considering the chance i might have to replace the monitor if i cant get the blurriness to go away on my own?

If the screen went blurry after it got bumped maybe there is a focus Pot you can adjust? that being said I have no idea what these things normally go for.

$750 is quite a bit for a millipede. I would expect it to be mint condition and likely with the 2-n-1 kit for that much money.
That being said the blurry screen is likely just the focus pot adjustment. 2 second fix.

http://imgur.com/a/6ckJcHere are the pics of it that were sent to me, I forgot to mention it doesn't have the side art also. Folks over on reddit are telling me that without the side art, it might not even be worth half what he's asking...

I find that odd how they repainted the sides, made a lot of changes, then didn't repaint the metal trim piece front and center or replace the marquee light.
Anyway depending your area, yeah, 200-250 max. That's more than fair. If he doesn't sell it for that, then he doesn't want to really sell it.
You can spruce up that monitor along with some detail work and make that cab look very presentable. It won't be mint, but it could be real nice.

Thanks for the info! So far I've really only explored into sites like ebay and craigslist for some good games, any other sites you could recommend where i could do some shopping around?

criagslist is where you get a lot of deals if you are patient. KLOV is where you go to SOMETIMES get a decent for a game. Lots of auctions websites that you just have to kind of find on your own since i don't know where you live.

you actually just missed a great auction a few weeks ago there. http://www.superauctions.com/that does auctions all across the US. Otherwise there isnt too much that i know of in your area. Keep looking on craigslist. make sure you are using the craigslist filter that john posted here and look in the many cities that surround you.

Agree 100% on the price. In that condition 750 is pretty crazy. I picked up my Centipede for 325 with only a few minor scrapes. I'd be patient and watch klov and Craigslist. Klov has a wanted section that's good for networking down games too!
