looking for a centipede bezel with the pink atari mushroom at the bottom center

Confused on this one... My centipede bezel (obviously probably like 500,000 others):



Is there a legit story behind this pink mystery or is it just someone hacking it to a different color to make profit? Or perhaps it was an effect of the sun over 20-30 years?
