Hey everyone! I finally scored a MS. Pac dedicated Cocktail yesterday. Paid a little more then I probably should have in it's condition, but she'll clean up nice and I've ALWAYS wanted one. So it's relatively issue free, short of some operator wiring hacks that can easily be straightened out. However the monitor has some issues, which I BELIEVE are minor, but I wanted to get some advice....
It has an Electrohome G07-904 19"
Issue 1) The colors aren't very "rich" (I.E. they looks like they have "faded in the sun") I Believe a cap kit will solve this which I'm planning on doing regardless. I haven't messed with any monitor adjustments yet, so if that will help too please let me know where to start. It's worth noting the monitor is still sufficiently bright though, so that's good.
Issue 2) The RGB doesn't line up perfectly. (I.E. it looks like a bad screen printing job where the silk screens didn't overlap perfectly). That doesn't bother me TOO bad since it's not awful. But if this is a simple adjustment, I'd like to try to resolve it.
Issue 3) When I turn the game off, the monitor turns off but a 2 inch long "Nike Swoosh" of green blue and a little red is left on the screen and takes about 30 seconds to disappear completely. It's about as wide as a pencil line. Unplugging after turning it off doesn't help.
Issue 4) (this may be more circuit related then monitor) Blinky's eyes are moved up about 3 pixels (ONLY Blinky). Like they have popped out of their eye socket. The rest of his body, and the other ghosts look perfect, it's only his eyes.
Also.....The only Bob Roberts cap kits I see for my monitor includes the fly back. I don't see any that are just the caps, and the transistor. Do I really need the flyback too??
Thanks in advance, and I'm so excited to get her cleaned up!! She's been in a Pizza place up until the moment I bought her, so she's gonna be living on easy street from now on!!
Below is the link from the EBay ad. I know it's not a good one but it gives you an idea. The pic makes it look a little worse then it is in real life...
