Championship Sprint is one of my all time favourites...
The odds on me finding one in ANY condition in my area is slim - I did however manage to pick up a Badlands!
Badlands is Atari trying to ride the wave of MadMax - Beyond Thunderdome popularity and they took Championship Sprint and made it all post apocalyptic.

That being said, My Badlands Cabinet is a Dynamo Conversion with a bad paint job and not so great wiring...

What I want to do is get one of those Jamma Fingerboards plug the Jamma harness into it and plug the USB into a small PC I have wich would run mame and voila I can run Badlands AND Championship Sprint, not to mention Off Road and a few other racing games.

My question is:
Will mame just figure out the 'spinner' part of the steering wheels or is there a lot of playing involved to make this work?

I don't think it should be that difficult. You will need to get an optipac to interpret the spinners signals.

What part of the world are you in?  I have a Championship Sprint that I believe is in poor condition (haven't seen it in a while).  It is in storage right now but, if you're near central Ohio....

Just a thought.  I had planned to restore sometime this summer but I could be talked into selling.
