I just picked up a Gyruss at a garage sale today for $100. It needs a little work - here's some pics I took when I got it home in the garage:

As you can see from the pics, I got it to go to the title screen - the sound works, the screen is pretty good, but it won't show the actual gameplay! It shows the score and remaining lives, but the ship, enemies, and "bullets" don't show. When it doesn't boot properly, it shows garbled stuff or it shows the test grid, but improperly (as seen in the last pic).
They didn't have keys, so I'll have to drill the locks out or try picking them.
The side art isn't horrible - it is a little worn and there's a spot where someone scratched their name into the right side. I'll probably keep the artwork as-is. I have some bondo work ahead of me, though - there are holes in the front from where there was a security bar installed at one point and there's a considerable amount of wood missing on the left under a section of the t-molding. That's going to be interesting to try to fix - especially with trying to preserve the side art on that side.
