This has been bothering me some time now. Of the pole positions in my area, all three are so different. One plays really fast, the other two play slow and all are in mph not kph. I know this is a dip switch settings right? Some boards max at 180mph, some at 195mph, others at 245mph.
Hello everyone. I tried posting this on KLOV but I don't think many are going to be interested in commenting on it because it is a rom question. I figured I'd try hear because it is a smaller forum. This issue has been bothering me for quite awhile now and I'd love to figure it out. I recently purchased a wheel for my cab and have been playing the crap of pole position and would like to qualify for pole as often as I do in a real arcade.
Does anyone know in mame how to increase the max speed beyond 180mph? I'm pretty good at this game but for the life of me I can't seem to get pole position when qualifying on my mame cab. The best I've gotten is 2nd. Down at the arcade I get pole almost every time.
I've messed with following rom (tab) settings with no luck:
practice rank
extended rank
lap time
number of laps
game time
Maybe I need a whole new rom (I know that this CANNOT BE DISCUSSED)
