I recently picked up a nfl blitz in a group purchase of games. It is near mint but someone removed the monitor chassis. I think it has a wg u5000? Should I get a chassis for this or I have 2 k7000 with no chassis that was in this storage unit.

THe u5000 is a temperamental beast, if you can get one working well it will stay working but its extremely difficult to get there. I would try for a different monitor. K7000 is a fair choice, as is a K7500.
