Hi!!! Few weeks ago I bought my first arcade cabinet with a Neo Geo MVS 1 slot inside. Its a generic cabinet but it was in great shape actualy. Its has some dent on it but nothing serious.
I bought it as an restauration project and because I alway wanted and arcade cabinet.

This is the cabinet:

Its look prety good, I love that Video Game marquee.  Grin Grin

My idea on the restoration is "emulate" an original Neo Geo MVS cabinet, not 100% acurate to the original, but something like the original.

So, the first thing I did, was disassembling, sanding and repearing the dents on it.

Next step was the painting. I put 4 coats of paint on it to made it look good.

In the meantime, I've cleaned the buttons and the joysticks. I want to change them, but in the meantime I will use them.

Once I had all painting ready, I started to assemble the cabinet, starting with the backlight of the markee.

I'm still not finished yeat, but I'm very closed.
All I left to do it find the T-molding (something really hard to do in Argentina, I went to several places and I still cannot find it  Angry ), The vessel glass and the art work.
I hope to made all that in the next week or so.

I hope you liked it was I did with the cabinet, it's my first time working on an arcade cabinet, so I'm a neewby jejejeje

Best regads

PS: sorry for my english.

Ah, really cool, looks more like a regular Neo Geo cabinet already Smiley.

Just wondering, did you look into the multi carts for Neo Geo? I don't know if you want a cabinet capable of Neo Geo and more or just want Neo Geo games, but there are chinese manufacturers who make a 181 in one Neo Geo MS cart, with a lot of games on them.

Thgis guy even made a huge chart, showing which games are on which cart to help people decide which cart to get.

Daikath, I actually have an 161 in 1 cart. It's have all the games I want. The only things I don't like of this carts, its they have lot of KoF games. I like KoF, but I don't need all of them jejejeje.

Best regards

Good job! I agree bout the marquee, it looks cool. I have a similar Neo Geo conversion. Mine is a danish made JK universalcabinnet with a MVS FZ1 in it.

CPO, i dont use one, since the JK jamma to Neo conversions i played in the wild, all those years ago, never had any. But a CPO won´t be hart to find i suppose.
