My friend just bought a Super Hang On, and there's no bikes or roadside objects on the screen. So far all of the controls and such seem to be working, but the force feedback isn't working either. Most of my fixes have been cap kit fixes but this one looks like something else. Any idea what's wrong with it? Bad rom chip, maybe?

There isn't force feedback it has a vibrating motor that goes with the engine Rpms, it isn't like outrun.

You should go into the service menu and do a ROM and RAM check.

Thanks Tighe! I actually watched your Super Hang On video on YouTube before I went over to work on it. I'll let you know what I find out.

Tighe is on the right path with this. I think its probably an EPROM issue since you are getting literally nothing on screen.

On my Super Hang On, the motor was fine, the fuse was bad.   Buy or download a Super Hang On manual/schematic and trace the wires.

Also, the connector for the motor and lights behind the speedometer are the same, mine were swapped.  All other connectors are keyed differently.

We performed the ROM check, and it says everything is OK. What should I check next? Bad connectors?

that's actually good because you've eliminated the possibility of it being the ROM chips.
