Donkey kong 3 is underrated and deserves much more attention .
So let's start with a high score competition right now
If we get really good we could make our own king of kong 3 movie  Smiley

My highest score is 368,600

Nice Score!  ;) I also, absolutely love 3! It was my first cab and the best cab! I really need to spruce my DK3 up but just haven't got to it yet. I need to buy new side-art, t-molding, a instruction sticker designed by John, and a coin sticker. I was planning on all this but more games popped up that I had to buy! Grin Also, I was unable to get a DK3 wiring harness so I made a custom one so that I could use any nintendo board and plug in any jamma game in also. The world record on DK3 is a mind blowing 8,772,700 by George Riley compared to the second score of 2,583,000.  http://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=23

My current high score on DK3 is 386,000. Smiley

That world record is unbelievable
I find once you get to level 20 and kong starts throwing coconuts or what ever they are, it gets really hard.
Our scores are very  close together, do you find this ?
Thanks for posting pics of your cab looks great .

Yeah once I get to those levels, I have a larger chance of dying because of the coconuts.
George Riley actually filmed some of his long DK3 games on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS-F2WKuvW7ZG5AGVt0TXC9VkbQhOossA

@ Chuckie. Love the whole "ambiance" surrounding your dk3.  What's the story on that? If that's your game room I'm seriously jealous!! Looks like a flippen airplane hanger!

Thanks John! You are definitely right about hard, but once you get used to it, it actually isn't all that bad! Smiley

I know this post is almost a month old but i have to say that donkey kong 3 looks pretty freaking awesome. I'm not a fan of the game but seriously that cab is amazing.

True restoration is an art form. Like any good artist you have to know what your doing. Painting a single line on a canvas and calling it a masterpiece does not fly in restoring a arcade machine. Do it right

Those cabs look sweet!! Nice work, bro. I truly think that blue is the only color for DK3. Looks right. I gotta get mine back from my friend. I miss it.

And, yeah... glad you like the DK3 instruction sticker! Smiley

Yeah, Chuckie. I had almost all the games except the older ones you have. I do miss them but variety is the spice of life! Smiley
