Cant remember the name of the game

loved this game, 43 now, installed mame and bought a x arcade controller to get me started.

its kind of like asteroids as your a small ship shooting at asteroids, but they don't blow up they shake first and release gems which you need to collect. bad guy ships will also collect them to build this big head (boss) that will come after you when complete.

please help!

Sinistar.  It uses a 49-way joystick with a centering spider.  Not gonna play all that well with an X-Arcade that has 8-way sticks.

I thought that game was very playable with an 8 way on my JROK. No? YMMV.
