Is there some tutorial or guide I can read to make a vs to classic adapter? I have a Mario Bros. PCB but a Vs. wiring harness, and I haven't been able to find a classic harness for sale anywhere.

Mark Spaeth makes and sells an adapter to do this:

Mark can be hard to get ahold of. You gotta keep trying. I think he talks about sending checks on his site?

Ya, I would prefer to use PayPal, but if I have to do check I suppose I will.

I was thinking of also trying to make my own adapter. I was looking at the pin outs on Mario bros and I realized it needs -5V, and the VS pin outs don't have that. Know any way to get the -5V to the Mario Bros Board?

You can use any old switching power supply to get the -5 with a Nintendo power adapter and make your own harness. Arcade shop has the adapter.

Another option too is to rewire the cabinet JAMMA and get a Nintendo to Jamma adapter.
