Thinking about replacing my VS. screen to a comparably sized LCD. Any idea how I could apply this (
http://www.arcademvs.com/rgbstovga.htm ) to my unisystem? I looks like it's pretty easy. But I'm just unsure of where the video inputs are in my cabinet.
The walkthru here: (
http://www.aceamusements.us/how-to-convert-a-ms-pac-man-arcade-video-game-from-a-crt-to-an-lcd-monitor-.html ) makes it sound a little more daunting. But the example is for a ms pacman. No sure how the guts of a ms pacman compare to a VS. Unisystem. I tend to think the Nintendo is a little tidier on the inside.
Any thoughts on this? Does anyone have any experience with this?
I realize 2 things: 1. it's taking away from the purity of the system. 2. I won't be able to play light gun games on and LCD but screen burn on my CRT is killing me.
That might be tricky if the LCD can't match the 15k refresh rate. Wells Gardner makes LCDs made for this. I would personally advise against it. Nintendo also used inverse video so you'll need to get something to inverse the video.
Is this a
style cabinet? If so, just try to find a nice Sanyo 20EZ. They are easy to find.
