Hey guys so while working on my new Zaxxon machine something I've realized is the joystick is a tad bit 'sticky' (no, not literally haha). It doesn't like to return back in its original center position very well. I know its old and has years of use but I was wondering if there are any tips on cleaning or repairing it to make it more crisp? I can post pictures if needed! Thanks guys for helping a n00b out!

You should take it apart and clean it, but have you simply tried to lubricate it? A few drops of a product like 3in1 oil may solve your problem.

Post a picture of the joystick. I'm guessing that has a wick style joystick originally like Frogger and other Segas. You can replace the grommet if so. game grommets.com
