Just grabbed one of each in my last order. Was ordering something for a friend in Germany to take over on next visit...

What does everyone think of these?

they are usually really poor quality and their measurements can't truly be trusted, there is still no comparison to a real LCR meter but its better than nothing. The first one is literally worthless, don't bother with that. The second one is decent. 72khz is nice. i am not sure where they got the frequencies from. would have nicer to have 10k and 100khz. Even though these things 'can' measure in circuit, they often suck. even expensive ones suck at in circuit. Its still best to remove the cap before measuring.

Thank you for the heads up, I didn't know about ESR's sucking for in circuit stuff, they all love to plaster it all over the descriptions

the problem is a function of physics. Not just cheap ESR/LCR meters. You can't accurately measure a single component when its connected to a dozen other components!
