Hey John,

Your new Mario Bros. review was pretty awesome.  I also have a Mario Bros wide body that's in pretty good condition, but I would like to get some restoration tips (if you don't mind of course) to get it to look better.

1.  Are those original Nintendo buttons that you polished or did you replace them?  What do you think is a decent replacement for original Nintendo buttons?

2.  Did you replace the control panel overlay?  If so, where did you get yours from?

3.  Your bezel looks pretty awesome.  Did you have to polish it or it was already that nice when you got the machine?

Thanks!

YO! Here's some answers:

I replaced the buttons. I use the ones Mikesarcade.com sells in all my Nintendo games.

The control panel overlay is a reproduction. I bought it at QuarterArcade. http://www.quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/6970

The bezel is original and I did polish it with NOVUS 1 and 2!

Thanks John!

I've been contemplating the replacements buttons from Mike's Arcade for a while. They look really nice.  I will order some from them.  Thanks again!!

Mike's buttons are not exactly the same shape but they are just fine. I have them on most of my Nintendo games. The original buttons had a slightly different sharper shape to them.
