Ok so I am trying to get a multimeter because I know that will probably help me but can someone tell me if these things are fried or what? I have attached the pics below of my galaga bootleg that I am trying to fix. Thanks

Those are capacitors. THe big guy is probably fine and not worth looking at. The smaller one is damaged and should be replaced. probably a 103 or 102 ceramic disk. Fixing bootlegs is not all that much fun.

If you can get your hands on the components cheap, when in doubt, replace one by one and test the board again.

well i put in a bid for the board and it didnt have anybody else bidding, then magically somebody outbid me. I hate auctions and preferably use the buyitnow when available. Still 3days left on it.  Cry

Wondering if somebody plugged edge connector in backwards at one point in time.
