well its like this I was looking into buying an arcade machine to start my collection and on craigslist I find one for cheap and its looks like a classic pacman and the owner says the game is called ladybug, a pacman knockoff right? because its also says elcon industries on it and they sold copyrighted games. could I get it and turn it into pacman? have any of you owned one of these?

what in talking about:> http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/4580897894.html <

I am not an expert. But it looks like it was a competitor to Pacman.http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8374.

That cab though....was it a Pacman originally?  You could always convert it over if you wanted to

Why not just restore it?

True restoration is an art form. Like any good artist you have to know what your doing. Painting a single line on a canvas and calling it a masterpiece does not fly in restoring a arcade machine. Do it right

i have not a clue what that cabinet originally was. It wasn't a pacman and it isn't a universal cab.

My opinion is its 150.00 and it's interesting. Id buy it and restore it as a lady bug if thats what the cabinet is now. I don't think your getting hurt any however you decide to tackle it.

well pac man uses a certain type of connector on the game board.

my advice is to get any pac-man type cab that you like and go from there.

the other way you could go is a Jamma (universal) to pac-man converter: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/jamma-pcb-to-pacman-ms-pacman-cabinet-adapter-jb-jam2pac.html

so that means any Jamma cabinet could be used for pacman. good luck and keep us updated!

Sorry I'm a little late on this but Lady Bug is a Universal game similar to Pac-Man but with gates. That one is a conversion.

That's not a Pac-Man cabinet. That's a very odd looking cabinet. Walk away.
