The Galloping Ghost is full of arcade awesomeness and I highly recommend it!

Thank you for the reply. I did find one bad trace, so I jumped it. Still getting an error. I will continue to look for more.
3  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Super Pacman RAM error on: March 26, 2014, 01:06:53 pm
I have a Super Pacman that is showing RAM errors. I have checked the voltages, and they are 5.04 Volts on the RAM chips. At first I was getting a RAM 7 error, so I replaced the 2114 RAM at the 2D location. Then I was getting a RAM 5 error, so I replaced the 2148 RAM at the 3K location. Now I am getting a RAM 7 error most of the time and a RAM 5 error some of the time. I also found that one of the ROM chips was corrupted. So I erased it and reprogrammed it. That did not help with the RAM error. I am now at a loss, does anyone have a suggestion of what I could try next? Thank you in advance.

Thank for the tip John. I adjusted that and some of the other pots and it is playable now. It looks like all it needs is the cap kit for a perfect display. I still can't believe the I got on this. It lasted 3 days on Craigslist, I lucked out. I also found the original manual inside.

I stumbled upon John's Arcade a couple of months ago when I was looking to recap my MAME monitor. That led me to the Arcade Outsiders Podcast, and thanks to you guys,  I have caught the bug and started collecting. I saw a great on Craigslist for a , a Super Pacman, and a Space Invaders for $450 for the lot. When I talked with the seller he said that none of them work. I was excited when I saw that the was in great shape. After 3 trips during a snowstorm yesterday I made it back and tried them out. The fired right up but I think the monitor needs a recap kit. The Super Pacman has a rom error and the Space Invaders power button is busted. I will have to drill the lock on that one and take a look. In a few days I will be picking up a Gladiators Pinball from a guy off of KLOV.
And so it begins. Grin
