Once you get past the UFO's...You are home free to hit at least 250k!!

The trick is to max out the points on the first two levels.

Especially ww2. Get every bomber!

That will give you the lives you need to get past the UFO's.

My high Scores is 477500

I set it for the arcade default...

Difficult

Extra life setting
60,000 Pts. and after every 80,000 Points

I have passed 430,000 a couple times.

It gets pretty tough passing Earth...But it chills out after the flip!!

I have an original Cab with a Monroe stick...

Couldn't pass 250,000 until I used a Monroe Joystick!!

Now these are hard to find!!

I have an extra Monroe joystick I picked up because I like spares!!

My two favorite games (Time Pilot and Gyruss) used them so I wanted a spare...

But I feel like a hoarder, so let me know if you need it!!

Hey...I have a spare Time Pilot PCB I don't need anymore.

I used it in an old Scramble Cab before I got my dedicated TP.

No issues at all, very clean!!

It's just getting dusty in my closet so make a market value offer if interested!!

I also have a working Gyruss PCB.  The right audio pot seems to be out. Not sure how to fix so I just replaced the board.  Works great, just no sound from the right channel (which sucks for Gyruss!!)

That is an awesome idea!!

Maybe a high score page??

Then a forum containing a topic for each game...
You can post your high score in your reply and add tips and tricks also??
Honor system for scores, of course...
7  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / Beginner's Help Corner / Wiring a CRT for JAMMA in a new (gutted) Cab on: August 21, 2013, 10:21:49 am
I have a small collection of classic Cabs (all original) and have just picked up an old empty Dig Dug/Centipede (not sure how to tell the difference).

I started to grab original pieces to restore it (marquee, bezel, sideart...), but I don't have a clue how to wire up an authentic CRT.  I know I need an isolation transformer (whatever the hell that is!!).

I am in Chicago, so I have many sources for CRT's.

My goal is to restore the Cab as original as possible with a 60-1.
Then, once my skills improve, to lose the 60-1 and replace with all original.

Sorry for rambling...

I have built many JAMMA cabs with 60-1's but always used VGA monitors.

I have seen the light and only want original now and this is my biggest hurdle!!

I have a Gyruss that could use some TLC, so I would!!

Actually...yes!!

There is a TV shop by me...

Do you think they will have a replacement POT??

Easy for a tech...

I watched your high score kit upgrade for Time pilot and it gave nightmares...

I have been working with computers for 30 years, but not soldering.

I wouldn't know were to start...

I use to solder volume pots and power toggles when I built 60-1's...But that's a lot easier than
PCB's

Hey John...My collection has a long way to go!!

If my basement had a straight entrance...It would be better.

I would be divorced...but my collection would be awesome!!

My Gyruss PCB has a bad right channel audio pot!!

I am not a tech, so I just want to replace the board.

Can pay cash or trade my extra Time Pilot PCB in perfect working order.

HELP!!!!

What's up!!

Been a fan for a while.

I use to build 60-1 bartops...but have stopped.

Now I just collect.

Have a like new Time Pilot, an average Gyruss, and a in need of a Cap Kit.

I also have a converted Centipede Cab running MAME (it was gutted when I got it).

And a couple I built from scratch.

I have owned and sold DK jr, Galaga, Asteroids (cocktail), Time Pilot (cocktail).

My skills are low (unless it's JAMMA 60-1 or MAME), but my passion is high!!

Later...
