What do you mean move the cards around?
2  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Blue screen on unisystem on: March 22, 2014, 06:38:15 pm
So I have a Vs Unisystem with a number of boards set up with different games. I had Vs Super Mario Bros running for the longest time, then I switched to Vs Castlevania then to Vs Excite Bike, then when I switched back to Vs Mario Bros all I get is a blue screen, I have tried cleaning the contacts and tried turning it on and off again a number of times and still nothing. I switched back to Vs Castlevania and it works fine. So what would my problem be? I do not have much experience so looking at the board I dont really know what to look for. Thanks

I adjusted the screen dial on the flyback and the black dial on the chassis mostly. I couldn't get a balance. The left side would be too black when the right side looked good and the right side would be too white when the left is looked good.

I messed around with a few other dials/knobs on the chassis just to see if it would help but no luck

Like I said I already messed around with the dials and never got any luck. I assume I need to recap the moniter.

Just got a super dodge ball machine and it works great except the screen has a whiteness to the right side.

I tried playing with all the dials but nothing seamed to work.

Oh, and I'm a total newbie so go easy on me . Thanks

What joysticks do you recommend? Any links?

I thought they were nintendo since I see them on Super Mario Bros arcade but with different color buttons

Edit: my mistake you mean just the joysticks... Ah.

So heres my pride and joy, My first arcade and I love it!!! I bought it about 6 months ago from a local Arcade/Pinball enthusiast. The R-Type cabinet is one beautiful beast. Vs. Dr.Mario and Vs. Castlevania are the 2 games I have right now. Looking forward to getting a few more ( Vs. Super Mario Bros. and Vs. Battle City for sure ) . These are the before pictures of the machine. I spent 5 hours yesterday power buffing the scratches out of the plexi glass. It was totally worth it since the front plexi is an original piece, just flipped around. Being a collector I really wanted to keep the piece since its Nintendo. I cut out a large piece of paper and taped it on the back of the graphics so when the screen is on the graphics do not come through on the other side.I plan to polish it up more and touch up the paint but all in all its in great shape.

The idea of having NES games that I already had on Arcade was not very appealing at first but that was because I didnt realize that the Vs. games were different. Even though they are very simular they are VERY different. Im pretty freeking good at Dr Mario on NES but the VS Dr Mario often whoops my butt. Same with Vs. Castlevania. So happy I bought this now, they are like new games to me.

11  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Nintendo Vs. PCB board with very low volume on: March 11, 2013, 09:16:26 pm
Ok, So I just picked up a Nintendo Vs system PCB board to go with Vs. Castlevania or Vs. Dr. Mario. Once everything was together and installed (with either game ) the music/sound effects volume was very low. I could hear it but barely. I understand that the sound is controlled by the monitor so I cranked it and still nothing. I then tried both games with my working PCB board and they both work perfect.

So what could the problem be? Not a good connection or something? I have zero experience so any help woould be great. Thanks

I have been collecting video games all my life ( still have all my original stuff starting with the handheld Trojan Horse by GAKKEN )  but it wasn't until 3 years that I actually got serious about collecting. I love all older systems that came out before the year 2000. I dont mind some of the newer/modern stuff but I prefer the NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD... I found this site when I purchased my first arcade. The glorious Nintendo Vs. Unisystem and I absolutely love it. The cabinet is from R-Type and I love the way it looks. The game I got with it was Dr. Mario ( with marquee ) and I quickly realized how amazingly different it was then the NES version. I recently got all the pieces together for Vs. Castlevania and I am currently running that. Again I realized that its is so freaking hard .I could ramble on but Ill save the rest of my experiences for other posts in the forum.
