Castlevania hands down is my favorite.
2  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Sharp Monitor Screen Burn on: November 25, 2013, 11:06:38 am
Hi all,

I have a Nintendo Red Tent with major monitor burn. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it original, but these screens are bad. And last week something fried on one of them and I had to unplug it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think what fried may have been either a cap or something on the monitor board.

Thanks,

Tom

The burn in is pretty bad, when playing SMB or Castlevania you can see the RBI Baseball burn. I'd love to keep this original and restore this game. But I'm having a heck of a time finding these 18" monitors. Any ideas?

Good Morning and Happy Fathers Day everyone.

I am having some issues with my Red Tent and I need some help / advice. First off both monitors have really bad burn in. Secondly something started smoking and popping on the monitor neck the other day. I've since unplugged that monitor from the power supply.

My questions are since this game is old and monitors are impossible to find. I want to put in new flat screen arcade monitors. I've seen all kinds of issues regarding this from the 100V power supply to color inverter boards. So has anyone done this before? I love this game, especially since it has my all time favorite Castlevania on it. I want to upgrade it and be able to keep using it for the next 20 years.

Any and all advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Tom
