Many thanks for the Dragons Lair review I have plans for a DAPHNE/MAME cab the features nothing but LD games and a few others. You having experience with MAME cabs, i could use your help or hardware. The software is cake and already have it up and running, just need your experience with the hardware end of it to put it in a cab. If you can offer me help, i would greatly appreciate it and when finished will do a review in a John's Arcade style for you

Very rarely i will use the hyperspace button. If i am out of smartbombs and inviso, then yes i will use it and close my eyes and see what happens .

The Gyruss restore is looking awesome. I have learned a lot just from watching your restoration videos. Cant wait to see it in the basement. Sorry one of the gems in your basement has to go though . I hope you document your Quantum restoration like you have done with Gyruss. Thats the videos i can not wait to see. Keep the videos coming please

I am good at both Defender and Stargate myself. Each has its own difficulties to master. Defender, its really hard not to flip the game when you hit that 990,000 mark, cause everything you enemies you kill after 990,000 you get a free guy for each kill. Stargate..The Firebomber Showdowns evrey 10th attack wave is hard for me. I try to make sure i have plenty of inviso for those waves. Its tough to decide which game is more difficult in my opinion. Both games are awesom classic games thats a must for every collector to have

Yes, I am a very DIE HARD RUSH FANATIC  . I have been listening to them since 1977and have seen them on every tour since 1982. Its always cool to meet gamers that like Rush. Lately i have been listening to a lot of Dream Theater. As for the cabs, very nice. i am fixing to start on my first restore of an Area 51/Maxium Force cab.

I have a person who is giving me my first cabinet. Its an Area 51/Maximum Force cabinet. It looks like a standard Area 51 cabinet. He says all it needs is a new power supply. How hard would it be to change it into a MAME/DAPHNE cab using a GameEx front end. The software is easy for me, its the hardware i am not very good with. I know i would need a new control panel. Would i have to swap the monitor or could use the existing one? This is my first cabinet project and could use any and all advice..
