1  General Category / Introduce Yourself / Not new here.. but on: July 20, 2016, 06:50:32 am
I've been a member of this forum for a few years now, but I thought since I recently changed my username this would be a good time to formally introduce myself. I've only ever used this forum for technical help before but I am hoping to become a more active member of the community.  My current collection is 5 vids, 1 pin, a vending machine, and a good amount of vintage consoles.

(The asteroids isn't powered on because the big blue capacitor is bad) I also have a Centipede which is mid-restore and currently not working. I'm currently working on finishing the rest of my basement so that's why it's a mess right now Tongue. Hopefully I'll get to be more active in this community. Eventually I'll probably start uploading on YouTube too. Thanks for reading.

I will check those today. The monitor is good since its almost brand new (last owner replaced it) and other symptoms show up when the screen goes white (not related to monitor). I will keep everyone posted.

What would cause it to just stop working in the middle of a game? I will go and recheck all the continuity again this weekend.

So I plugged it in today and it worked for about a minute when the screen went black. I unplugged it and now its back to the white screen

So my centipede won't let me move up or down. I checked the trackball and the harness, good. All the connections to the board are good and the board, as far as I know, is good too. However, when I was testing I accidentally turned it on without the board connected, and after I reconnected the board all I could get was a white screen and the 1P button being constantly lit. All voltages are good.

This is probably my least reliable game. Anyways, I plugged it in the other night and the Coin door solenoids fired, then a few seconds they released. Nothing happened on screen and the monitor looked like it was also off. I had recently reconnected a cone button and I was thinking I might have wired it wrong, but I don't think it could cause whatever happened. I unplugged the cone button completely and it still did the same thing.

I got a Centipede missing the buttons recently. I lost an ebay auction with the exact ones I need, so I need to find them somewhere else. If anyone has them, please message me.

NICE! I have a Gyruss myself, and it needs to be restored badly. I have done a few small things like painting the coin door, but I have a ton of things to do with it.
Great game, you'll enjoy it.

Update: there's a 20a fuse in there and the game is working just fine. Been on for an hour now. Old fuse died quick because of age, probably.

Okay. I believe they had 25A 32V fuses at the store, so I will have to go back and look.

My home depot has 25a fuses but they're only rated for 12v.

How many volts go through F3? Assuming something around 10v

I found some on Amazon. They should be here Tuesday.
While I was playing, I noticed the internal blue-light was burnt out. Anyone know where I can find a replacement?

Fast or slow?
Also any recommendation of what store to get one at?
