John, Sort of, I was able to find a decent schematic I could actually read LOL. I just wanted to confirm the order. From what I can tell its Pin 1 on Aux goes to Pin 24 on Vector and so on. I have a second board on the way that has the interbaord harness with it. Just it's missing 7 ROM's no big as i have a ROM burner that just arrived today in the mail. I also replaced the 10K and 1 K Pot's on the Vector board. Kept getting 10V out of the X and Y out test lugs.

Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / Starting a Classic Game Room

Hello All,
I'm starting this thread because I have plans on starting a Classic Arcade Game Room in Wisconsin. I already work for a vendor and have done so for over 10 Years. I want to start a game room because I worked for a Corporate Vendor, and all they care about it money. Yes money is important for a business but when you start to become greedy like this company it's a problem. My company just sent out an email stating how much money we made this year and WOW it's a lot. The worst part is they want to increase cost to play games and increase cost of prizes. I don't agree with this since everyday there a many families that want to play but can't due to most of the games costing $2 or more for 1 credit. I'm fed up with the greed and plan to open my own classic arcade that will allow anyone no matter how much money you make to come an play and have a great time. I'm still about a year or so away from my goal, but I wanted some ideas and tips on how I can make this place just amazing for everyone. I do have plans to donate % of revenue to various organizations out there, such as Autism Society for example and many more. I also plan to hold tournements and game building contests. I would love to hear feed back and any ideas for this. i really want to make this place the best I can not only for the community but also for all the people out there that love an enjoy classic games as much as I do.

Blake,
It's nice to meet you, My son is also about to turn 5. It really is an amazing hobby for us to do together. My son loves it so much when we get a game that's completely broken and we bring it back to life. I noticed you said you have games on location in the past. I have plans to create an arcade hopefully in the next year that would have a lot of classic vids and pins on site. I currently work for an arcade vendor that too me has gotten way too greedy over the years and it kills me to see so many people come in and can't play due to how much our games cost. We make A LOT of money in the company I work for and now they decided to increase cost to play games and increase ticket values on our prizes. I can't stand that so I plan to make my own game room that is for the people and designed so everyone can play, no matter how much money you make. I was wondering if you might have any good tips for starting up a game room. I already have a lot of ideas I want to do such as Tournements and game building contests, I also plan to donate % of the revenue to various types of organizations to help out the community. I plan to post this Idea on another thread here on Johns Forum for more ideas.

Thank you guys very much, I did find a great schematic on crazykong. The schematic I had was almost impossible to read. I went on Elecktronforge website and it said he was only doing select repair/ order fills since he is so backlogged. I made a temp. harness by just soldering the wires to the pins for test purposes. If I'm reading the schematic correctly the pin are pin 1 on AUX goes to Pin 24 on the Vector and this pattern goes on like this, if this doesn't seem right to guys please let me know, I did plug the board in and all I got was Solid lights on the Ply select buttons, no picture, and the only sound I get is constant beeps. Voltages are correct going into the PCB's and I already rebuilt the 6100. AR-2, and PSU. I did notice that I'm getting 10V out of the X out test point and 3v out of the Y out test point, I remember reading this should be between -2 and +2v. Is that correct? Also, does anyone know if someone may have a Tempest board set for sale, I'm going to post that also on the topic looking for parts, I wouldn't mind having a spare and it would also help me figure out what's exactly wrong with my Tempest board set. Oh and a side note, I noticed my board was missing the A1 I.C. on the AUX board, I ordered a new one and didn't know if it was a chip that needed to be programmed?

Hello all,
New to this forum but not to classic games. I'm Will and I'm a General Manager at The Geyser arcade in Wisconsin, I've been working in the arcade industry for about 10 years now and I have been working on arcade games for 22 years, since I was 6. I have four kids and two of them are Autistic, both of them love arcade machines to death!! My 5 year old helps me repair the games, it's part of his therapy. I'm glad to have found this forum, this will help my son and on fix games that we just can't figure out and maybe be able to add something useful along the way.

Hello All,
I have a Tempest that my son and I have been working on, along with many others, but I got a Tempest board stack and it didn't have the harness that connects the AUX board to the Vector board. I plan on buying one, once I find one, but until then I wanted to test the board itself even more. Does anyone know if the pinout goes Pin1 on AUX goes to Pin 1 on Vector and so on or if it's a different pattern. This is the 24 Pin on the AUX and Vector Boards. We already rebuilt the WG 6100, the AR-2, and PSU. I don't want to fry something because I wired the 24 pin connector wrong. It would mean the world to my son if we can get this game running.
