So I am new here so i will start out by saying hello
John said you all would enjoy some pics of my 1987 Capcom 1943 project.  I picked it up about 7 weeks ago not working and in real bad shape and have been documenting the restore http://www.wallysarcade.com/capcom-1943.html

done both multiple times 60 in one is a set it and forget it type setup the arcade SD is very nice and offers more games and a top notch front end.  Mame is more complex ever evolving and overall a great way to try out thousands of games you have never heard of.  it just depends on what you are trying to play. could be quite a few things did you plug it into an already working jamma cab with a CRT monitor.  What game was in it before? do you have another board to test the colors  with? could be a monitor issue?  also 60 in ones can be bad sometimes but overall they are pretty good for multi boards.
1. test with another game
2. adjust red on CRT
hope that gets you started Smiley
