Looks like the little board that would be connected to the RF cage. It just moves the connection to the outside of the cage.

I was thinking that but why would they change the number of pins for P2? Also they have labelled these P3 and P4... Anyway it makes sense that it is something along those lines.

Cheers

Greg

I picked up a Nintendo VS board the other day and this came attached. Can't seem to find any info on it at all?! It seems to convert the standard Nintendo VS edge connectors into these two 22 pin edge connectors...?

You could use a RP2A03 too. Easier to find.
Hey John, thanks for replying. I was under the impression that if you are running SMB by itself in a VS board you have to have the A03 on the right side with the ROMs and the A04 on the left side by itself? I think that's what I interpreted from the manual. I do have some extra A03 but I guess I could give that a go?

Should work. Def' try it.

You are the man! That worked but I have PCB issues.. they are glitching on me big time Sad I might take them to my local PCB guru to have a look.

Still also might hunt around for some A04's as I only have limited A03's

I am putting together a few Nintendo VS Unisystem boards that will just be running SMB. Unfortunately I have no RP2A04 CPU's and require x2 or x3 to get these up and running.

Can anybody help me out?

Thanks

G'day mate.

Hopefully we can get some Nintendo cabs into Bartronica soon Smiley

Yeah, there was basically no original stuff here really. The stuff that did look kinda original was built by Leisure and Allied Industries (LAI) here. The only original stuff that made it here was imported directly from Japan. Nothing from the states.

Hey, another fellow Melbournite here! Bartronica is my local Tongue  If you can make it along to PAX this weekend I am helping out in the classic gaming area supplying a few arcade machines. Should be great!
11  Tech and Marketplace / For Sale / Wanted / WTB: R-Type Control Panel on: October 26, 2015, 09:18:35 pm
Hi,

Looking for an R-Type Control Panel in any condition (does not need stick or buttons). I am using it for a scratch build so will put new sticks and buttons in it with a new CP overlay most likely. Unless the original is in really good condition.

Thanks

Greg

Hi there.

Lately I have been getting into a bunch of the Nintendo stuff. I bought a few Unisystem boards off KLOV members recently and am also looking to do a scratch build of an R-Type cabinet soon. Unfortunately we were not so lucky in Australia and none of the Nintendo cabs were ever imported here back in the day and local companies just built generic cabs to stick the boards in. After importing an original DK cab a few years back I have caught the bug and want more Smiley

Anyway, because of John's love of Nintendo cabs I have watched a few videos and thought this would be a good forum to join Cheesy

Thanks
