1  Tech and Marketplace / For Sale / Wanted / Re: Thinking of starting a business converting cabs to 60 in 1's on: September 23, 2015, 10:19:10 pm
I think you should post them for sale on CL at $1500 and drop the price over time until you get a sucker to buy them.
Great idea.

Already painted 3 cabs black so far.  A Ms Pac, a galaga and a pc 10 cab.

Can't wait to gut them and slap a few Pentium 3 rigs in there.

You guys will get first chance at them.

LOL troll confirmed.

7  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Re: sanyo 20 EZV capacitor pad half gone on: June 22, 2015, 11:39:36 pm
I think you are better off trying to solder to that damaged pad than trying to hack something together on the board. less time you spend with the iron on the board the better off you are.

ok will do thanks Ian you are an awesome dude taking the time to answer all my questions and put up with my stupidity.

yeah, the metal pad on the board that you solder to was half missing which i thought was strange there is still a connection through a multimeter so it might be ok but was wanting to make a better connection if possible.

Hello forums Grin Ive been a gamer and collector for 15 years, mostly for retro game consoles and have been a member of neo-geo.com for a while now. In the last five years I've really gotten into arcade stuff more. first thing I bought was a consolized NEO GEO MVS, the first arcade machine I ever played. Then bought sega boardmaster supergun to play some arcade boards on.  Ive been subscribed to johns arcade channel on youtube for years and been absorbing as much information as I can and recently got my first cab which is the classic MARIO BROS wide body. It has a monitor issue and needs some work on the outside like, paint, decals and control panel but hopefully will get that all sorted out soon as I believe the monitor just needs a cap kit. Looking forward to some good times.
