1  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / drink holder solutions? on: June 03, 2015, 09:48:48 am
I added Pingulps to all of my pins and scattered a few small cocktail tables around the room
but still have problems with folks putting drinks on top of machines or on the rails of the pool
and air hockey tables. Would love to see some neat solutions for drink holders on rows of cabs that
do NOT require drilling holes in the cabs. What solutions have you guys come up with?
Btw, the Pingulps are working out great!
Thanks!
Eric

Thanks Ian, I'll post some pics as I tackle the issues with each game. Going to start
with a switching power supply changeover for the Spy Hunter.

Hey guys! My name is Eric from Dayton, Ohio and I started tinkering with arcade machines in the late 90's.
Quite a few have come and gone and I'm currently down to a few projects at home: DK, Ice Cold Beer, Max RPM,
Twin Skeet (an old EM gun game), and collecting pieces for a MAME cabinet.

I really enjoy John's videos, especially the technical pieces and the arcade tours. Thought I
would join the forum and have fun chatting with everyone.

My other project is taking care of this place: http://www.tajmagaraj.com/lounj.php
It was a super deluxe man-cave that belonged to a family friend. The fellow that built it
passed away about 18 months ago from cancer and the facility as a whole needed a lot of
work to catch up on deferred maintenance. Many of the pins and vids in the bar were down but I'm
slowly but surely getting them in playable condition and hope to add some more games in the future.
The family rents the space out for banquets, charity events, company functions, etc.

The current collection: Ms Pac, Galaga, , Space Invaders, Asteroids, Defender, Centipede,
cockpit, Pole Position cockpit, Out Run, Spy Hunter, Golden Tee, NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, Mega Touch,
several pins, pool tables, Arachnid darts, pop-a-shot, foosball, & air hockey.

Enough about me, I'm going to dig into the forums and see what everyone else is working on
and try to find some info to get a few more of these machines fixed.
