There's an old one for VGO, but it's pretty dead. I'd say a group's a fine idea!

That's pretty dang cool, It'd be a great idea to have something similar at some of the big arcade events

Thanks Tregaurd. I have got my eye on it, but I'm a little nervous about it. It is untested and after looking at the seller's store I don't know why they don't put it in one of their jamma games and test it.

You can always wait for another, don't worry!

I'd say you should definitely try to save that sideart if you can--even if it has some scratches and whatnot, It's STILL 500x better than the slap-on sideart sticker you see around

This goes a bit beyond me, sorry--best I can offer you is this simple AC flow chart from the manual, and the manual itself for you to dig through the Schematics:

Guys,

I was looking for a Mortal Kombat board on Ebay and noticed one of the auctions mentioned a T unit board. What is that and are there other board types?

Think of that as a board Revision ID of the main game PCB. As far as MK goes;

T-unit is for Original MK version 4 onwards and MKII
Y-unit was used on Original MK up to version 4
Wolf unit is used for MK3/Ultimate MK3

Do you have to have it uploaded to the internet?  like on flikr or instagram?

Yup, the post image feature on these boards only links to a photo elsewhere, you can't upload it directly in a post.

However--Just about any image upload site (flickr, instagram, imgur, etc) will usually give you a link you can copy and paste here and it'll show up--

if they give you a "forum" or "BBCode" link, copy and paste that one instead.

Here's a quick guide for Flickr Forum Sharing:

Log into flickr, and find the picture in your photostream you want to share.

I'll use this silly space gorilla picture as an example:

Now, left click the image you want to share to open it up in a larger view.
Move your mouse to the lower right corner, you should see this little arrow icon, click it:

This is your share window, where you can send out links to friends and whatnot. for now, click the word "bbcode" in the white box that pops up:

Note you can choose what size of the photo you want to share, for this quick example I'm going to use Medium, 500x265 for mine.
Just don't go -too- overboard and post something too large for your post.

Now that you've chosen a size to share, click in that bottom white box, the one with the url=https:// etc junk in it. You want to copy and paste ALL of this link into your forum post.

You can either do it all with your mouse; highlight the whole thing, right click and hit copy, then right click in your post and hit paste,

-OR-
You can do it much faster with keyboard shortcuts. Just left click once in that box with the link and press Control+A to highlight it all, then Control+C to copy it, then press Control+V in your post to paste it over.

If everything worked out right, your image should show up when you post your message like so:
Space Bananas! by HeyKidsIt'sProfessorGenki, on Flickr

Again, if you're still unsure if you did it right, click the Preview button and your image should pop up. if not, don't worry and try it again--if you're still having trouble, feel free to post again in here and I'll do my best to help you out!

OH! and don't worry about posting a GIANT picture if you're posting from flickr--people can click the image you post to view the full size version

Guys,

I hate to ask, but how the heck do you post pics on this forum. I see the insert image, but....

Not to worry, its quite easy to do!

Simply paste the url for whatever photo you want to share in a post, highlight that link, THEN click the insert image button.

So for example, this:

Will show up as THIS once you post it:

You can always double check it by hitting the preview button if you need to.
12  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Pinball Discussions / Re: Place to play pins in Phoenix on: January 24, 2015, 01:56:05 pm
A friend of mine was asking if I knew of a good place to go play pinball in Phoenix.  A place with a large assortment to choose from.  I'm not into pinball so much but thought I'd see if anyone here knew of a place.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Haven't been out there, but I did a bit of digging and found a site that tracks the number of machines, take a look:
http://www.pinballrebel.com/locator/searchlocationresult.php?metroarea=Non-Metro&stateselect=AZ&state=AZ&country=United+States&address=Phoenix&showmap=yes&latitude=33.4483771&longitude=-112.07403729999999&lastaddress=Phoenix

It looks like Castles N Coasters has a pretty decent Selection, but if he runs down to Tuscon, D&D pinball has a plethora of piñatas pins down there

Hope this helps!

my second is i'm trying to get a turtles in time pcb and the only one i can find for a good price is a 2 player version. I really don't want to spend the money on a 2 player version, so is there anyway to make it a 4 player and if so how?

Its actually a 4-player board--both the Turtles and the Turtles in time boards are set up Similarly --right next to where your jamma connector hooks on to the board, you'll see two sets of pins labeled CN3 and CN4. Those are where your 3/4 player wiring plugs in. Should be simple if you're upgrading, just hook CN3 to CN3 on the new board; do the same for CN4.

Here are both boards for comparison, you can see the white Player 3/4 connectors on both;

Original Turtles:

And the "In Time" board:

P.S.--I dug a bit further and found Attract Mode on the original Turtles is a simple dipswitch setting--look again at the first board I posted again. Look in the upper left. See all the little switches? To turn Attract Mode on, you need to turn ON switch #8 in the middle set.

It's pretty common to see MK cabs upgraded to 2, 3, or even 4 (3 and 4 need the extra run buttons)

I'd think value-wise, you'll do just fine reselling it whether or not you convert it back. The original is a piece of gaming history, and 2 is just as fun to play!
