recently bought a system 246 with soulcalibur 2 arcade. in a naomi universal cabinet.
bought the whole thing for 200 euro. the owner said it was broken. after i got it playing blind i bought it.
i can hear the HOT clicking. i have orderd a couple. what can cause a hot to blow ?
and can i just use a hantarex polo cap kit?

im gonna remove my flyback today to test it out of circuit.

this is my first time repairing a monitor.

my name is simon im 25. i have 4 arcade cabinets. just bought my first "broken game" it just plays blind and the HOT makes a clicking sound.
the game in question is a soulcalibur 2 and it plays fine on a separate screen.
i also have a neo geo 2 slot
a defender
and a hypedrive sit down
(i also have air hocky and foodbal tables)
every Thursday i open my arcade to the public for free.

so i have been working on my hyperdrive had to re-wire the steering wheel and the view buttons.
and all controls work now.

its not the same game but it is the same pcb  only a 50 mhz slower cpu.

saving

the game does save the settings but not for a long time.
i thought it would save the data on the hdd.
i have not been able to check the button cell on the pcb (i will soon)
but i think that is for the internal clock.

coin-up

living in an European country i would like it to accept 50 euro cents. and it only takes 2 euro coins
if it were a mechenical coinmech i would just replace it.
but it has a c220b coinmech. i have read that you can change it with the dip switches near the eprom
but i have not found any dip switches.

cosmetic

the left control pannel is a bit busted. and some side art is a bit scratched up.

if you have any suggestions how to fix this tell me. i have access to a 3d scanner but not a printer. (can send the files to a company tho)
and i don't have the 3d skills to fix it in 3d

i cant seem to find a hyperdrive manual.
i have searched a phew sites that do have allot of manuals but i have not seen a hyperdrive manual.
