Thanks!  I will try those things and let you know if that solves it! 

I picked up a Tron cabinet as a project.  Brought it home got it to power up and noticed that its missing sprites.  For example the player character only appears as two blue lines and in the light cycle stage the background doesn't show up.  Any ideas on what might be going on or what things i should start checking?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have always been a giant Nintendo fan and focused mainly on collecting NES carts and systems but I recently decided to take my retro game love to the next level and dive head first into this hobby/addiction.  John's videos have been an insanely valuable resource and inspiration!  I am also a huge fan of the arcade outsiders podcast!.
