3  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / Beginner's Help Corner / Killer Instinct artwork needed on: October 26, 2014, 02:33:54 pm
Hi everyone, I need the artwork for the Killer Instinct cabinet, only the control panel and the basel. I found a few website who sold this, but I'm from Argentina and the shipping cost are to expensive for me.
If anyone have it and want to shared with me, I'll be very thankful.

Thanks in advance.

Don't you have other boards? My Continental Circuit has one knob for each (2) speakers, and use insert a Phillips head screwdriver to adjust them, they're like light / clear plastic. I believe those "knobs" were on the sound bound in particular, not the game's PCB. Made by Taito, though. Should be around! Smiley

Hi Otaku, I've looked for knobs but I didn't find no one. There's only one that looks like a knob but I dont very sure if is really a knob or something else.
About your question if a have other boards... the answer is nop Sad . It's my first one Cheesy

PS: I made it enter the service mode and I put the game on free play. I found the customer manual for the game on internet, the links that I posted early is wrong

Thanks for your reply!!!

Hi guys, I just bought and TH Strike Back board for a really good price, the game works great but the sound is really really loud and I don't know how to lower it Embarrassed
It's probably very easy to do, but I've searched in Internet and I couldn't find nothing.
I also try to put the game on freeplay and also try it to enter on the service mode to see if there's any option for the sound, but I couldn't. I put the dip switch in the same order that I found on Internet, but, nothing happens Embarrassed

This is the dip switch that I found:

And this is the board:

Its expensive everywhere.
but he has a Buriki one and blast city CP.
Welcome to the hobby.. turn out your pockets

Jajajajaja. Here in Argentina, only the shipping for one of that consoles cost more than u$s60. And then you have to paid taxes (20% of the total amount) and then you have to paid custom taxes (50% of the total amount).
Here is way much expensive  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Hi!!! Few weeks ago I bought my first arcade cabinet with a Neo Geo MVS 1 slot inside. Its a generic cabinet but it was in great shape actualy. Its has some dent on it but nothing serious.
I bought it as an restauration project and because I alway wanted and arcade cabinet.

This is the cabinet:

Its look prety good, I love that Video Game marquee.  Grin Grin

My idea on the restoration is "emulate" an original Neo Geo MVS cabinet, not 100% acurate to the original, but something like the original.

So, the first thing I did, was disassembling, sanding and repearing the dents on it.

Next step was the painting. I put 4 coats of paint on it to made it look good.

In the meantime, I've cleaned the buttons and the joysticks. I want to change them, but in the meantime I will use them.

Once I had all painting ready, I started to assemble the cabinet, starting with the backlight of the markee.

I'm still not finished yeat, but I'm very closed.
All I left to do it find the T-molding (something really hard to do in Argentina, I went to several places and I still cannot find it  Angry ), The vessel glass and the art work.
I hope to made all that in the next week or so.

I hope you liked it was I did with the cabinet, it's my first time working on an arcade cabinet, so I'm a neewby jejejeje

Best regads

PS: sorry for my english.

It doesn't seem possible to build a red tent. That's crazy talk! The thing is steel!

Jajajajaja, I'm a crazy person!!! (?) Tongue
My idea actually is reproduce it on wood, and I want to made only the half. I know, it's a crazy idea, but I want to put it old tv inside with a famiclone.
Like I said before, here in Argentina is imposible to find nothing from this cabinet, so, with a famiclone I can, in some way, emulate the games.
I thinks they are a few vs game on famicom disk, it will be the closed I will be to play in an original red tent.

Ps: sorry for my english
