Looks like a very generic multi-board cabinet. Says built in 1982, but going by the design of the marquee I would say it's closer to the late 80's in my honest opinion. Maybe early 90's or the marquee was switched out at some point.

The whole thing looks slightly newer than 1982. Wonder what the full list of games is besides baseball and bowling?

A lot of people are going back and forth on it. Some think it's going to rip off both content creators and viewers. Some are saying Google is wording the agreement in a way to confuse everyone and have already made changes here and there after people have agreed to the original. Others are also saying they are seeing the notification to read the terms and have no button to deny it and only an accept button that later vanishes. It's all kinds of weird and stupid.

From what people are saying, one version will be free with ad's on all channels by default. Basically what you see now on most channels if you don't use adblock. You don't agree to allowing that, you are blocked from uploading content until you agree to it.

The other is what people are saying is $10.00 a month per channel with zero ads. I could see doing $10.00 ($20.00 at the most) a month if that got you ad-free versions of any channel you subscribe to. That amount a month per channel though? That's where people saying one part of the rip-off is happening. The other is how you get your cut. From what people have said, Google worded it to make it sound like you get a 45-55% cut of each subscriber when in reality that can't be right. You have 16,668 subscribers at the time I type this. Say every single one of us decided to opt into that at $10.00 a month and you got 45-55% of that. Do the math lmao. There's no way they are actually going to give people that amount. Think about the channels with millions of subscribers and they all opted in.

Be cool if it is like that though. I would assume that you would get to a point where "John's Arcade" would no longer be your basement/garage and move straight into a warehouse? Then all those people asking for 4K video on your channel would likely now get it

I think it was Davey Jones of the EEVBlog channel that may have done a quick rundown of the terms of it. There were others as well, but I can't remember who.

But what about the emulation itself? I've heard of some games not being able to perfectly emulate the gameplay on certain games. For example, I've read Robotron 2084 has limitations in Mame as the game gets very difficult quick. If you make it past Level 9 or 10 you've really achieved something.

I don't know why, but people don't really seem to care about updating to the latest version of MAME when a new one comes out. A new one comes out every month now.

Even though it is getting updated more often now, the smallest updates are still known to cause major issues. One small update will cause 100 games to stop working. Mouse support has been dead for me in it for a while now. Reported it to them and they were saying it was because I was using Windows 10 Technical Preview. They completely ignored where I mentioned also trying it with Windows 7/8/8.1 Update 1 (Windows 8.1 is where I first encountered it) on three seperate systems and also tried out 4 other mice (ps2/usb) to rule out as much as I could and still never got it to work. It sees the mouse and I can move the mouse in the menu and click, but works with zero games. I just gave up and stopped using it.

They really don't bother listening to many actual users unless it's a major issue that's affecting thousands or a higher-up dev personally finds it. I wasn't the only one having the mouse issue and I'm sure others still are. I know there was one dev who would confirm my issue, but it basically got smacked down by others as nothing.

There's a company called Markfor3D (I believe) that's working on a 3D printer that does carbon fiber layers within a print. Adding a lot more strength to prints.

It's still going to be a while before we have anything that can print strong material quickly. You can get strong prints now if you have a whole day to dedicate to printing one thing

People will sit and watch a guy work on an arcade game for hours and hours, but God forbid a 60 second ad pop up or he mention the name of products or sites he uses to get stuff that he needs to get the work done.

Why do some automatically assume that he gets paid once a product or site is mentioned? If he was doing that for any kind of money, don't you think he would have turned the other ad's on a long time ago? He wouldn't have to go buy Simple Green because he'd have cases of it sitting in his garage if he were endorsing them.

Sorry, I just find it ridiculous that people jump straight to accusing others of being in it just for money when they see one ad for every 10 hours of video they watch or the person mentions a product or site. Can't possibly just he them wanting to help others out. Nope it's about getting paid.

That cocktail looks remarkably similar to the trimline style cabinet in this tnt video about a sega gremlin carnival. According to the big T the cabinet was rare enough to warrant him putting it in his own collection.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8slTGJKyyAY

He just had one of those cocktail cabinets for sale in his recent bargain basement video for $150.00. Everything but the boards was there and working. I think he actually said he grabbed the boards for his personal cabinet at home.

Pole Position?

There's been a few times you hear it and he mentions that it may get annoying and talks about turning it off, but never does . I personally find it funny. Anytime I hear it in the background I wonder if he's going to point it out again.

What's shitty about them?

They're arcade related and anyone who listens to the Arcade Outsiders podcast knows what some of them are referring to.

The only channels I really watch religiously are John's Arcade, The Ben Heck Show, TNT Amusements, lukemorse1 and just recently subscribed to Joe Senigaglia and was going to watch his videos tonight. Before anyone says anything about TNT and his prices keep in mind he is retail and is there to make some profit and pay employees. Not a lot of people like him are still around doing it so I consider his stuff cheap for the work his crew does. You can tell he actually cares about the games also and i just love how goofy the guy is

The main reason I watch the above channels a lot is because all these people are being themselves and not trying to create a persona. I know Todd Tuckey is trying for a reality show, but how often do you see him actually push it into his videos? Hell, I'd watch a weekly show about a bunch of goofy guys restoring arcade games. John, Joe, Luke, Todd and Ben Heck all just be themselves. Screw ups and all. For example: You're working on a game and it's not saving high scores and you want to fix that. So you start working on it and discover the battery you think is faulty, just has a sticker on the back of it causing it not to make contact or you spend months on a game and it finally comes down to painting the cabinet. Months of work all coming to an end soon and you open that can to see that lovely Arctic Night shade of blue and it's Milk Chocolatey diarhea brown. Would you upload that or delete it? They upload their screw-ups and everything because it's all part of the process. They aren't fake and trying to look perfect. They want people to learn.

I can't stand watching the people that are trying to be a persona. Be yourself and not a fake. Like Gamester81 for a small example. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but when he does videos as if he is being interviewed by another person about the game he is talking about, it's annoying as hell. He is clearly alone and just looking off camera at a wall or something. That got on my nerves so I had to quit watching.

...seemed to be up in the air by the end of the last episode......etc

Not to sound rude, but did you fully watch it? I find it hard to believe that you did if you felt that way about it when it was the exact opposite honestly. A lot of people in the hobby slow down and do minor stuff or completely stop when winter hits. Watch similar YouTube channels and others will mention that they do this. Some people need breaks or have lives to live. It can't be arcade games 24/7.

I got owned XD

Trolls don't own others, only themselves. All they do is prove they have zero lives by talking trash from behind the safety of a computer where they can't be touched.

They own themselves each time they post on the internet.
