Title: Nintendo Red Tent VS System - Power Supply Post by: toxictoaster on March 28, 2014, 10:32:54 am Good Day just a few questions about my Nintendo red tent.
When I turned on my Red Tent for the first time, Both monitors came on with white screens, there was no audio. I have a feeling that its the power supply for the board that is not working, either because of a burnt fuse or w/e. I will be testing this with a multimeter in the future. I have a few spare power supplies I recovered from a JAMMA system, could I use this power supply as a replacement for the existing power supply? If not, what should I use as a replacement power supply? Personally, I would seek out another original power supply on ebay or similar. They are out there. It should be possible to install a switching power supply but you will not have 24v for the coin counter. Not a huge deal. I have never personally done this but you can follow the pinout below to wire it up correctly: https://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spies.cgi?action=url&type=pinout&page=VS_Unisystem.html Title: Re: Nintendo Red Tent VS System - Power Supply Post by: toxictoaster on March 28, 2014, 04:17:41 pm Thanks for the quick reply! I plan on doing some mm testing before I continue to rule out the harness.
Follow up question, any tips on getting out the seized screws? |
