Title: What is a JROK board ?
Post by: STEVESPEEZE on February 19, 2014, 07:03:09 pm
Does it replace a machines whole board system or is it an add on.. How does it work? (meaning hows its hooked up and what it does)

JROK is a developer.

He makes JAMMA PCBs that are FPGA versions of vintage PCBs using original CPUs.

He has made the Multi-Williams and Multi-Berzerk/Frenzy boards and others.

Two more questions...

Is it stand alone? I can just plug this into a harness and play?

How much and where can I buy one?

just plug it into a jamma harness and you are good to go.

Good luck getting one. I believe they are all sold out for now.

Try a WTB thread on KLOV.  People sell theirs from time to time.

Or, just buy Johns  ;D

If you can stand the British accent Steve ;-) you can listen to a new podcast that mentions JROK. THis is Chuckie Egg and Virtvic, they stop by here sometimes.

Not bad! Jrok is rerunning them in 2014. I think he was charging $175. I forget.

last batch was 195 shipped i think. He hasn't been on the forum in quite some time so I don't know when he is going to be running the next batch.

He just posted the other day about it in the multi-q*bert FPGA thread.
