Title: Greetings from Kansas
Post by: WindowsLM on February 05, 2014, 01:08:07 am
Hey everyone!

I discovered this site during the Pac-Man restore and since then I have enjoyed going back and watching the older vids.

The classic arcade games are getting fairly tough to find in my area so earlier today, since I was snowed in under about 14 inches of snow, I decided to buy an original Ms. Pac-Man machine.

It's always been my classic game of choice and I don't have the knowledge of inter-workings of arcade machines yet so I thought it better than attempting a restore of one on my first go around. I do hope to learn and plan to install a save kit here soon. :)

Thanks so much for having a community like this!

kansas and tn always have a ton of games for sale! you shouldn't have any issues looking. Also, you really should check out the auctions in that area, there are always a bunch. Welcome to the site!

Really?  I guess I don't know where to look.  The only auction site I was able to find hasn't been updated since 2012.

Where you at in Kansas? I'm just south of Tulsa and in the past have searched for newbies to pass on parts and cabs. I have given away loads of stuff! Give me a shout, Might be worth a road trip in the future.

I live in Topeka, so fairly close compared to some.  That would be cool.  After I started watching John's videos about restorations and proper maintenance I'm sure I could never get to many parts lol
