I just tried using a pad hack with Mala last night. She doesn't like it.

Title: Re: Making a new pad hacked arcade controller from scratch Post by: atariforever2002 on January 09, 2014, 05:49:11 pm It was some generic one. It's on a windows machine running XP. Did a little reading up on it and it seems that Mala has issues with pad hacks on occasion. Tried to get it to work but it's being a pain in the arse so I will just go with a key-wiz encoder on this build. Got several of them lying around.
Title: Re: Making a new pad hacked arcade controller from scratch Post by: STEVESPEEZE on January 09, 2014, 06:22:16 pm You can pad hack an xbox 360 wired controller no problem to work with hyperspin.
which i will be doing for my next cab. My buddy wants me to build him a hyperspin controller using his old hot rod joystick. His problem is he wont spend any money .. That means he has to use an older pc that has ps2 ports because his stick is so old it only has ps2 outputs. And i only have one of those laying around and i use it at work sometimes. so hes gonna have to get the adaptor for usb or a newer tankstick. or pull the board from the hot rod and pad hack two xbox original controllers to the existing switches and sticks. either way,, he wont spend any money so hes dead in the water. Even If you use a keyboard encoder or gamepad hacks and X360ce program to simulate the controls, it still will not work with certain games. Namely "Injustice". You actually need to hack genuine Xbox controllers for it to work. Kinda sux...
